Inner Source Zine #3 (Illinois, USA) March, 1994, Editors: “Fred and Randy”
This zine out of northern Illinois evolved steadily into the 90s, until it went color and pro-print as a short-lived ‘magazine.’ Anyways, the spirit was there, even if the journalistic talent was lacking. One of the editors even ran the Pulverizer Records imprint and released early material from Sarcophagus, Dying Fetus, Mortal Decay, Jungle Rot, and Fleshgrind, among others. This issue is interesting because it was released in that weird time, where thrash bands were seeking some sort of new approach or identity, see here Forbidden, Coroner (Grin era – cool interview), and the once awesomely named Death Angel when they oddly went and did “The Organization.” Also we have Atheist and Cynic in their prime, and Malevolent Creation during the  (ahem) “Stillborn” era. Also cool early art from Mark Riddick and Russ Evans throughout.
